- The Luxor Temple was built under the eighteenth and nineteenth Egyptian dynasties , Located in the heart of ancient Thebes . The temple of Luxor is one of the oldest places of worship in the world . In fact , religious practices has been conducted continuously at this location for over 3500 years. At various times of day and especially on Fridays , the muezzin's call to prayer echoes from the colonnades of these old ruins of Thebes.

- It was built for Queen Hatshepsut in the form of terraces, larg dimensions with columns that blend into the hillside. it is located behind the temple. It is the most important temple of Deir el Bahari. The temple is partly dug into the rock and partly built externally, it was built between the seventh and twenty-first year of the reign of Hatshepsut. it was designed by Senmut the royal architect of Queen Hatshepsut .
