Temple of Abu Simbel


- The Great Temple of Abu Simbel in Egypt, it was erected in 1240 BC by Ramses II for his pretty wife Nefertari. The high of temple about 33 meters , 38 meters wide and 62 meters deep. Four replicates of Ramses about 20 meter high guard the entrance. This temple is located in south of Egypt , on the western bank of Lake Nasser about 230 km southwest of Aswan.
